Resources for BiCon organisers

These pages are likely to be of most interest to activists and organisers. If you just want to find out about future BiCons, we suggest you go back to the BiCon home page.

Free use of bicon.org.uk domains

Bicon organisers are welcome to use sub-domains of bicon.org.uk (for example 2013.bicon.org.uk) to publicise their event. We are happy either to host the site on our CMS, host the DNS pointing to another host, or just delegate the zone (for those techies who know what that means). If hosted, we're also willing to forward emails for the sub-domain.

Very few organising groups have chosen to do this in recent years, preferring to spend BiCon's money on buying new domains which are then allowed to lapse a year or two after the event, meaning that that BiCon's website is not preserved for posterity. It's a shame that 2012 seems to have gone down this short-sighted route. Hopefully more BiCons will make use of bicon.org.uk in future - how about it, 2013? To let us know, just contact us.
